Farmhouse in Seillans (sleeps up to 10)

The property consists of a three-storey main house and a guest-house set in about 11 acres of its own land. The main six-bedroom house dates from 1804, having been a farmhouse (with a hay-loft). It is reached at the end of its own drive, 500 metres from the road. The second two-bedroom guest-house is a converted cheese factory about 30 metres below the main house.

The 12-metre pool is close to the house. The grounds originally included a working mill - now in ruin - powered by the lively perennial stream which still flows just as vigorously through the property. (It is augmented by springs on the edge of the property above the house.) The whole property is in a valley, which slopes towards the adjoining medieval village of Seillans. The farmhouse affords stunning views of this exquisite village. The guesthouse looks out on a meadow and the shallow stream.

Villa in Bargemon (sleeps up to 8)

Villa Les Oliviers has two storeys and was built early in the last century. Once the highest dwelling in the fortified medieval village of Bargemon, it is still the best vantage point over the ancient roofs, yet only a few steps from the centre of the village. The villa is on an acre of land originally belonging to Count de Boisgelin, a former local mayor. It includes the site of a tiny chapel, close to the house, now converted into a glass-fronted writer's studio. There is a large (5 X12 metre) pool, generous plage, and a separate pool house which has its own “crow’s nest” terrace and eating area. There are two other terraces adjoining the house. The house stands on its own, no other property overlooks it.

The house comprises four bedrooms, an L-shaped sitting-room, and a bay with floor-to-ceiling windows. There is internet TV, a good piano with music for players of all standards and an extensive book collection.
